In The Kitchen Cooking Classes
At In The Kitchen, we love bringing people together to learn more about everything that happens in the kitchen! Our Cooking Classes were designed for everyone and all skill levels and cover a wide range of culinary topics.
In The Kitchen Cooking School hosts a combination of demonstration-style and hands-on cooking classes right in the heart of the Pittsburgh’s Strip District!
Be inspired by our talented, creative chefs & instructors who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals and treats at home. Samples of the dish are provided with each class, along with recipe cards for all dishes made.
Most classes are 2 hours in length, unless otherwise noted and we ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the class start time.
All classes are held in our store at 1725 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15222 (Please Note: Street parking is available for all students. Follow all parking meter rules and regulations to avoid any tickets). We can’t wait to have you in our kitchen!

Current Cooking Class Schedule:
Cancellations:
We understand emergencies and just everyday life. As a result, we have created a fair cancellation policy for all our prospective classes.
To create a successful class, there are many factors that go into the preparation. With that in mind, the ITK Cooking School is reservation-based and does require financial costs including purchasing ingredients and staffing ahead of time, which is all based on class attendance. We reserve the right to cancel any class or camp/series with low enrollment. Should this occur, a full refund will be made or store credit towards your next cooking class.
Cancellations MUST be within 72 hours ahead of the class start time or your registration fee will be non-refundable. Take into consideration that purchasing a class is similar to purchasing a ticket for a sporting event or concert. If you cannot make the class, consider regifting the class to someone who would enjoy it! If regifting, please email jodi@shopinthekitchen.com with the name and contact information of the guest who will be taking your place.
Prior to each class, an email will be sent to all class attendees stating what to bring and any other important information. For more information, please contact us at (412) 261 5513
Thank you for reading and understanding our fair practice cancellation and refund policy. This helps us offer you a wonderful event and maintain our best business practices.
